Explosion-proof Cranes Crucial for Petroleum Plants
MHE-Demag ensures safety of new refinery for CPC Corporation.
Four A02 explosion-proof cranes (double-girder electric underhung travelling cranes) were supplied and commissioned for CPC Corporation, Taiwan’s (CPC) new petroleum refinery in the Sixth Naphtha Cracker plant in Kaohsiung.
The scope of Cardio Prima o Dopo Allenamento work involved the design, delivery, installation and commissioning of two 50/10t x 12m units and two 5t x 12m units. The explosion-proof cranes were essential for the new refinery as both petroleum and natural gases are combustible, thereby ensuring the safety of the lives and property of its staff and the community around the plant.
A state-owned petroleum company and major petroleum supplier in Taiwan, CPC’s operations include importing, exploring, developing, refining, transporting, marketing and sales of petroleum and natural gas, as well as the production and supply of petrochemicals.
