MHE-Demag’s KBK Slewing Jib Cranes Elevated Machinery Manufacturing to a New Level

26 units of KBK slewing jib cranes were fabricated and installed for Samson Machinery Inc. a 46-year-old leading manufacturer of tire building machines located in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2014. Considering the space constraint in the new plant and the request for user-friendly material handling equipment, MHE-Demag proposed KBK slewing jib cranes to be installed.

The pillar-mounted slewing jib cranes feature a 100kgs safe working load and 3000mm outreach with Demag chain hoists. These cranes are installed at the production machines, endorsing free movement with a 300º slewing range, lifting parts to the other work areas facilitating assembly of tire building machines, band building machines etc.

The installation of the KBK slewing jib cranes boosted productivity and promoted ergonomic operation with the jibs’ high load capacities and long outreach relative to their deadweight. The low weight enables the jib to move smoothly while the use of KBK hollow section rail as the crane girder ensures low travel forces. After years of usage, the KBK slewing jib cranes has never let the customer down.
